Did we tell you already? About our new machine? Well….we purchased a new machine for our Rompa CZ factory. This new addition is our 65th injection molding machine in CZ and much, much bigger than what we had before. Why do we need it? Because we use it to support work generated through our new joint venture TransRompa; mainly fuel system parts for the automotive industry. The machine is in operation, for a project of 3 new moulds from/for TransRompa, since the beginning of May.
Some technical details for those who are curious: it is a 900t Haitian with a maximum injection volume (shot weight) of 3,359 grams and a tie bar distance of 1x1m. According to Malcolm Ford, GM at Rompa CZ: "This ‘beast’ is our biggest European injection molding machine and can produce larger products which, of course, is interesting for our customers in- and outside Europe".
