Rompa Shunxing received some esteemed visitors recently. On 2 July, we welcomed Rob Berris, head of Economic Affairs at the Dutch consulate-general in Guangzhou. “It was a very interesting visit,” Berris told Rompa afterwards.
Dutch businesses in China
That day, the head of Economic Affairs visited several Dutch businesses in Jiangmen. He started the day with a visit to VDL Weweler bv, a global player in the field of air spring and axle lift systems for axles, trailers, trucks and buses. During lunch, Bob Schenkel of Stand Max Trading Ltd and Eric van Reenen of EC4U Limited joined the group. The day ended with a tour of Rompa Group’s production facility in Jiangmen.
Tour of the site
At the production site, the Dutch consulate-general’s representatives met Jesse Plasman, Rompa’s director Far East. He gave the delegation a tour of the facility and showed them how Rompa Shunxing assembles semi-finished and finished products with and without electronic components and how techniques such as the injection moulding of plastic and thermoforming are used.
It was an interesting day for both parties. “I am impressed by the way you handle your business and your staff and by the advanced degree of automation in your facility,” Rob Berris complimented us afterwards. In response, we want to thank him for his visit. We look forward to next time!
