Remaining fit and healthy; an endless lunch break topic at our head office in Tilburg. However, just talking about it doesn’t really quite cut it, so we put action where our mouth is and registered ourselves (eight colleagues) as a team for the CZ Tilburg Ten Miles race on Sunday 2 September. How did we do? Keep reading!
There are many fanatic sport enthusiasts in our team. Which sports? Squash, kickboxing, water polo, mountain biking, sailing, cycling, football and, of course, running. Numerous colleagues don their running shoes at least once a week. We have a number of experienced (half) marathon runners and even a triathlete in our midst. Easy to see then why we decided to take part in the CZ Tilburg Ten Miles, the sport and fun run fiesta in our very own town.
Representatives in three categories
The running festival has various different categories, including the 5 kilometres City Run, the 10 kilometres run and the Ten Miles, or 16.1 kilometres. Rompa colleagues were represented in all three categories. Martijn Jansen, Paul van der Linden, Tim Franssen and Peter Dielissen battled it out on the 5 kilometres. Ramses Schaffer and Robbin de Man went for gold on the 10 kilometres and Jesse Plasman and Léon Brands ran the longest distance: 10 miles.
